The reappearance follows the release of the concert film Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft, which documents a performance in Manchester, United Kingdom, and is co-directed by Eilish and James Cameron.

Soft also marks two years on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts. It re-entered the Top Streaming Albums chart at No. 45. Eilish's earlier album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? re-entered the Billboard 200 at No. 191 and reached No.
The Tour (Live) fell to No. 18 on the Vinyl Albums chart and No. 36 on the Top Album Sales chart. Four of Eilish's eight projects that have appeared on the Billboard 200 have now spent at least two years on the ranking. Her first album has accumulated 361 weeks, while the EP Don't Smile at Me has 269 weeks.
