Bitcoin Ethereum XRP Volatility Reaches Multi-Month Lows
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP recorded multi-month lows in volatility measures. Analyst Crypto Cred identified four structural changes in the cryptocurrency market on May 26.
hedgeco.netBitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP volatility measures reached multi-month lows, according to data referenced in a May 26 analysis. Analyst Crypto Cred stated that the cryptocurrency market has undergone four major structural shifts.
The first shift is the rapid increase in new coin launches and near-zero barriers to creating tokens. The second shift involves competition for speculative capital from AI, semiconductors, technology stocks, commodities, and zero-days-to-expiration options.
The third shift is greater participation by institutional investors and traditional finance firms through exchange-traded funds and professional trading desks. The fourth shift is the dispersion of retail trading activity across numerous exchanges, meme coins, and specialized blockchain ecosystems rather than concentration in a few large tokens.
Crypto Cred said earlier market cycles rewarded broad exposure because strong momentum lifted most assets together. The same analysis noted that liquidity has become more limited under the new conditions.
