Jennie of K-pop group BLACKPINK will release her new solo single "Less than a Lover" at 1 p.m. Friday local time, Yonhap reported Tuesday. The song features lo-fi guitar sounds and a vintage electric keyboard layered with subdued, mature vocals.
OA Entertainment stated that the track represents a shift from Jennie's earlier performance-focused releases. Jennie wrote the lyrics, directed the music video and took part in overall production. She has already performed the song at the Governors Ball Music Festival 2026 in the United States, Denmark's Roskilde Festival, Poland's Open'er Festival and Spain's Mad Cool Festival.
Next month she is scheduled to appear at Lollapalooza Chicago in the U.S. and Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan.
