The IndependentA family holiday resort on the Pembrokeshire coast will reopen its outdoor activity area on Saturday, 23 May after repairs from storm damage. Bluestone National Park Resort has introduced two new guided zipline experiences at the Steep Ravine site. The largest, Summit Flight, is a 279-metre high-speed zipline across the ravine.
The Double Glide offers shorter runs intended to help build confidence.
Sessions for both ziplines last 45 to 60 minutes and include a briefing and equipment fitting. There is no age limit, but participants must meet a minimum weight of 30 kilograms and a maximum of 120 kilograms. The ziplines will be available to guests staying until 16 July, with possible additional dates later in the season.
Camp Smokey, an outdoor dining area serving lunches, barbecues and drinks, will reopen with the site. Evening entertainment will include Smokey Joe’s Shindig with family sing-alongs and live performances. A director at Bluestone said the reopening marks a new chapter for the Ravine and that the storm damage had made the area unsafe.
The resort worked with specialists to restore the site while protecting the landscape. Bluestone National Park Resort offers 400 accommodation units including cottages, apartments and lodges. Guests can also use water parks, aerial adventures, spa experiences and nature trails.
Summer breaks start from £400 for a four-night stay at a Caldey Lodge arriving on 8 June 2026.
