Bob Odenkirk Recovers from On-Set Heart Attack While Filming Better Call Saul

Bob Odenkirk said he collapsed on the set of Better Call Saul in 2021 after suffering a heart attack. Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian grabbed him and screamed, but crew members initially thought the actors were laughing because they were far apart from each other. Odenkirk said he turned gray and was unconscious during the episode.

The on-set medic who responded had never performed CPR before, he added. The actor was transported to a local hospital and treated without surgery. Odenkirk said his first memory after the heart attack was leaving the hospital a week after he arrived.

None of that for me. Odenkirk said he experienced a few weeks of feeling delighted and engaged with his presence in the world after the heart attack. He had upbeat energy the day after the incident and every day thereafter for a period.

In July 2021, Odenkirk tweeted: “Hi. It’s Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me.

It’s overwhelming. ” Odenkirk credited Rosa Estrada and the doctors who fixed the blockage without surgery. His widow-maker artery was completely blocked during the heart attack. In August 2021, Odenkirk tweeted that he was doing great and referenced having an ‘It’s a wonderful life’ week.

One year later, he stated: “My widow-maker artery was completely blocked. ” Odenkirk said the heart attack was a shocking and traumatizing day for his co-stars, crew members, and loved ones. Life in 2023 that the heart attack didn’t affect him much for a long time.

Odenkirk thinks about the heart attack every day, he stated.
