'The Boys' Series Finale Set for Theatrical Screening in 4DX on May 19

Variety reported. The official X account of 'The Boys' announced the theatrical screening on Tuesday, stating: 'In two weeks, we’re going out with a bang. Literally, because ya might vibrate watchin’ the series finale in 4DX.

This follows similar moves by other streaming services, as HBO Max screened the final episode of 'The Pitt' Season 2 at Alamo Drafthouse locations, and Netflix gave the series finale of 'Stranger Things' a limited theatrical release around its New Year’s Eve launch, according to Variety.

The fifth and final season finale of 'The Boys' will drop on Amazon’s Prime Video later in May 2026. 'The Boys' was created by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg, and is adapted from the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Variety reported. The series debuted in 2019 and follows the titular Boys in their struggles against the supe organization Vought.

' 'Gen V' is a now-canceled, live-action college-set series. 'The Boys' received an Emmy nomination for top drama in 2021. The series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.

It also stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jensen Ackles, Valorie Curry, and Susan Heyward. 'The Boys' is produced by Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
