Brandon Aiyuk posted a 91-second video to his Instagram account on Sunday afternoon that appeared to address his contract standoff with the San Francisco 49ers. " In the video Aiyuk described an unspecified party as "little boys" and "female dogs" who are afraid, comparing the situation to children who leave with the ball when they are not chosen for a basketball game.

Aiyuk said, "Stop running from the [bill or belt].

They gonna say, 'Oh yeah, BA, BA, BA did this. BA did, you know, that s---, allegedly. But what they not gonna say is 'BA suck at football,' 'cause they know how I get. And they running from that [bill or belt] that's on the way.

The post marks the first time Aiyuk has spoken publicly about the dispute. San Francisco and Aiyuk have been at odds for nearly a year. The conflict escalated in July when the 49ers voided the remaining guaranteed money in his contract after he did not participate in rehabilitation for a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his right knee.

The team placed him on the reserve/left team list in December after he stopped reporting to the facility. General manager John Lynch said in January that Aiyuk had played his last snap with the team. " Aiyuk's stated preference is to join the Washington Commanders, whose quarterback Jayden Daniels is a close friend from their time together at Arizona State.

No trade has been completed.
