San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk released a YouTube video on June 27, 2026, accusing his ex-agent of influencing his dispute with the team and stating his relationship with the 49ers is beyond repair. He also referenced a recent visit from general manager John Lynch.
ESPNBrandon Aiyuk posted a 3½-minute YouTube video on Saturday in which he blamed his former agent for problems with the San Francisco 49ers and said general manager John Lynch recently visited his house, ESPN reported. In the video Aiyuk stated that his relationship with the 49ers will never be repaired and that he has no plans to return to team facilities except on October 19, when the 49ers host the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football.
He held up a football bearing a Washington Commanders logo and repeated his interest in joining that team.
Aiyuk identified Ryan Williams, his former agent who maintains a friendship and business relationship with Lynch, as a source of the conflict. He said in an Instagram story on Friday that he fired Williams in November, though Williams remains listed as his agent in the NFLPA directory.
Aiyuk also claimed Lynch came to his house in part to apologize for the actions of coach Kyle Shanahan and said the situation was not safe for him or his wife.
The 49ers signed Aiyuk to a four-year, $120 million contract extension in August 2024. The team voided the remaining guaranteed money in July 2025 after he missed rehab sessions for a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his right knee. It placed him on the reserve/left team list in December 2025 after he stopped reporting to the facility.
