Brazil and Mexico face Norway and England in World Cup round of 16

Brazil will face Norway at 4 p.m. Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Mexico will play England at 6 p.m. the same day at Mexico City Stadium. The two sides have met four times in all competitions, with Norway winning twice and drawing twice. Opta simulations give Brazil a 53.6 percent chance of winning in regulation time.

England defeated Mexico 2-0 in their only prior World Cup meeting during the 1966 group stage. England has also won each of the last four meetings outside the tournament. Opta simulations show England winning in regulation 40.6 percent of the time and Mexico 31.5 percent, with 27.9 percent of matches reaching extra time.

Other round of 16 matches Portugal plays Spain on Monday in Dallas.

Argentina meets Egypt on Tuesday in Atlanta, and Switzerland plays Colombia the same day in Vancouver. Morocco advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-0 win over Canada on Saturday. France reached the same stage after a 1-0 victory over Paraguay, decided by a penalty in the 70th minute.
