Milwaukee Brewers left-handed reliever Brian Fitzpatrick suffered a partial proximal sprain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow during a warmup pitch Friday night at Colorado. Fitzpatrick was called up from Triple-A Nashville earlier in the day and threw a scoreless sixth inning before getting hurt while warming up for the seventh.

Injury details and team update The Brewers provided an update on Fitzpatrick's condition before their Tuesday night game against the Athletics in Las Vegas. Fitzpatrick, 26, is seeking a second opinion after the diagnosis. Fitzpatrick has a 1.35 ERA in five appearances with Milwaukee this season.
