Brian Welsh to Direct Damian Lewis, Nicholas Galitzine and Ella Purnell in Steven Soderbergh-Produced Thriller 'The Return of Stanley Atwell'

U.K. and Malta. The "Band of Brothers" and "Homeland" star will portray Barnaby Towan in the thriller. Nicholas Galitzine plays Stanley Atwell, the presumed dead son and heir who unexpectedly returns to the family estate after a decade of mysterious captivity.

Ella Purnell plays Pamela, a close friend involved in the story of Stanley's return and its impact on the family's fortune. Jess Alexander, Adrian Rawlins and Will Keen have also joined the cast. Brian Welsh is writing and directing the film, his second collaboration with Steven Soderbergh following their debut, Beats.

The Return of Stanley Atwell is based on an original story by Steven Soderbergh, who serves as executive producer. Hera Pictures is producing the project.

The company previously produced the film Hamnet. John Gore Studios is co-producing The Return of Stanley Atwell. Hilary Strong and Francis Hopkinson are executive producing for John Gore Studios. Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales for the film.
