BTS will make a special appearance at the American Music Awards on May 25, the show announced Wednesday morning. The ceremony is scheduled at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Memorial Day. The seven-member group will already be in Las Vegas for four sold-out shows at the nearby Allegiant Stadium.

BTS is nominated for three awards: artist of the year, song of the summer, and best male K-pop artist.

The group held a large-scale live-stream performance with Netflix earlier this year at Gwanghwamun, the historic gate to Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung Palace. The performance coincided with the release of their album Arirang, which draws on Korean cultural themes.

One track on the album, “No. 29,” features only the sound of Korea’s 1,255-year-old Divine Bell of King Seongdeok being struck once. The bell’s resonant tone lasts one minute and 38 seconds. In March, BTS released a Netflix documentary about the making of Arirang.

BTS is currently on its first full-scale, all-group tour in years. The tour, which runs through 2026 and 2027, includes stops across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia. The group began the tour with three nights in Goyang, South Korea, followed by two nights in Tokyo.

U.S. date was in Tampa. Beginning May 23, BTS will play four shows at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, performing the two days before the American Music Awards and resuming on May 27.
