Three songwriters filed a lawsuit in the United States on Wednesday alleging that the BTS track "Swim" copies their unpublished demo of the same name. The suit names Hybe, Hybe America, BigHit Music, and credited songwriters including Ryan Tedder as defendants. BTS members were not named as defendants, though RM is listed among the credited writers on the track.
The plaintiffs said they circulated their demo to music industry contacts beginning in March of last year, including executives at Artist Publishing Group. "
"We will respond firmly through legal proceedings," the company said.
