Buffalo Bills Exclude O.J. Simpson From New Stadium Honors

The Buffalo Bills will not honor O.J. Simpson among team legends at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. ESPN reported the decision on June 27, 2026. Bills president of business operations Pete Guelli stated that the team made an organizational decision that Simpson is not a fit to display inside the new stadium and family circle.
The family circle area outside the stadium will instead honor other legends from the team's Wall of Fame, with Simpson likely the only member excluded. The area will display team and Western New York history and feature the team's three bison statues. As recently as spring 2026 the Bills debated Simpson's inclusion, and the design team prepared for both possibilities.
Simpson's name appeared on the Wall of Fame at the team's old stadium. Created in 1980, the display made him the first member inducted.
