New York PostThe nonprofit Consensuality Inc. is seeking $30,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to rebuild the Orgy Dome for the 2026 Burning Man festival. High winds struck the structure early during the 2025 event in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. The damage prevented the dome from hosting its scheduled week of activities.
Organizers listed specific costs that total more than the $30,000 goal. The main 50-foot geodesic dome requires $25,000. A 50-foot circus tent for the waiting area and workshops needs $5,500. A 30-foot circus tent for orientation and consent space is budgeted at $3,000.
An additional $10,000 is allocated for weatherproofing, sound engineering, and replacement of shade structures for volunteers. Other expenses such as supplies, sheets, laundry, and power will be covered by camp members. The Orgy Dome has operated for more than 20 years and draws roughly 10 percent of festival attendees each year.
