BYD to Introduce Europe-Specific Electric and Hybrid Models

BYD stated it will release a series of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles developed specifically for European customers. The first of these models, the Dolphin G, is scheduled for introduction next week.

Alfredo Altavilla, special adviser for the European market at BYD, said customer preferences in Europe differ from those in China. He noted that European buyers prioritize trunk space and handling on varied road conditions, while Chinese buyers focus on rear passenger room.

Altavilla added that BYD began developing a European-specific portfolio two years ago. The Dolphin G will be sold only in Europe and will not be offered in China.
