Caitlin Clark Available for Fever Road Game Against Sparks

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will be available for the team's road game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday, July 8, Usa Today reported. Coach Stephanie White confirmed Clark's status at shootaround that day. The contest opens a back-to-back set that ends against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday.

Clark said Tuesday at practice that she feels good overall and expects a minutes restriction, targeting more than 20 minutes of play. Clark reaggravated a back issue in the Fever's 111-109 loss to the Mercury on June 24. She exited in the third quarter after landing on a defender during a three-point attempt, was fouled on the play, and grabbed her back while on the ground.

She missed the Fever's next two games, a 111-87 win over the Sparks and an 84-68 victory over the Las Vegas Aces. Clark said she likely will not play against Phoenix while ramping up from the injury. Clark won the team's half-court shot contest at shootaround.

Fever center Aliyah Boston was ruled out for Wednesday with a right leg injury, White said. Boston suffered the lower leg injury earlier this year while playing for Unrivaled's Phantom BC.
