A high school athlete from Jurupa Valley High School who identifies as transgender is set to compete in the girls high jump, long jump and triple jump at the California Interscholastic Federation state finals in Clovis on Friday and Saturday. The athlete qualified after winning all three events at the CIF Southern Section Track & Field Masters Meet last weekend and previously won two state titles in girls events.

Real estate executive Mauricio Umansky discussed the athlete's participation during an interview with OutKick's Tomi Lahren this week. "It's not fair, period, end of story," Umansky said. "It's a common sense thing. " Umansky added that biological males and females differ in strength and stated that males should not compete against females in sports, while supporting adults' choices in personal identity.

The California Interscholastic Federation has reinstated a pilot entry process that allows additional female athletes to advance or share medals in events where a transgender athlete qualifies or places. The policy has already resulted in some female athletes sharing podium placements during postseason competition.

California track parent Jennifer Oliver said the issue is not about hate or exclusion but about doing what is right for female athletes. Protests and scrutiny have accompanied the athlete's participation in prior meets, including competing demonstrations and venue ejections last year.
