A Guatemalan citizen living in California was sentenced to 50 years in prison for producing child pornography involving his 8-year-old niece and nephew. Angel Emilio Rodriguez-Marroquin pleaded guilty to charges of producing and possessing child sexual abuse material that included footage of him assaulting the children, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The niece has special needs.
Rodriguez-Marroquin was arrested on Nov. 22, 2025, by federal authorities on suspicion of production and possession of child pornography. U.S. illegally in 2024 and was released by the Biden administration, DHS said. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations.
The White House stated in an April 10 news release that the Trump administration has arrested scores of illegal immigrants convicted of violent crimes in the first months of 2026.
