A Casino.org study of more than 7,000 winning tickets sold on July 17 from 2020 to 2024 found California led all states with 2,195 winners. Los Angeles topped U.S. cities with 198 winning tickets paying out $433,892.

Cities with 198 winning tickets sold on July 17 during the same span, producing $433,892 in payouts. The city sold an additional 45 winning tickets on July 17, 2025. H & T Unocal #2 at 475 S. Ave. 60 in Highland Park sold the most winning tickets in Los Angeles on the date since 2023, with players collecting $38,920 in prizes from that location.
Danvers, Massachusetts, recorded the largest total prize payouts on July 17 from 2020 to 2024 at $2.6 million. Orangeburg, South Carolina, followed with $2.005 million, then Tampa, Florida, at $1.123 million, Delray Beach, Florida, at $1.034 million, and Frisco, Texas, at $1.033 million. The study measured the frequency of winning tickets rather than jackpot sizes.
