Canadian Police Seize 6,765 Kilograms of Drugs and Chemicals in Richmond Raids

Burnaby RCMP officers executed five simultaneous search warrants in Richmond on April 1, 2026, recovering 6,765 kilograms of finished narcotics and fentanyl-production chemicals from three homes and two shipping containers. The seizures also included tactical shotguns, cash, contraband cigarettes, and a multi-antenna device consistent with signal jammers used to defeat electronic surveillance.
Police said the investigation began with a July 30, 2025, traffic stop that yielded four kilograms of precursor chemicals and later identified three additional suspects.
The Burnaby Gang Enforcement Team led the probe with support from the RCMP Strike Force, Prolific Offender Suppression Teams, and Ottawa’s Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement unit. All five search locations were in Richmond. Richmond has been identified in prior Canadian investigations as a site linked to transnational organized crime networks.
The current case did not name any suspects or organizations.
The seizure is one of the largest drug-chemical recoveries in British Columbia history. Police have not stated any connection to specific foreign sources or supply routes.
