cnbc.com0 in research preview this week, introducing several new features designed to enhance user experience. The update includes a web research skill that allows the AI bot to browse the internet to perform tasks and a scheduling feature that enables users to instruct the AI to schedule repeatable tasks in the background.
In addition to these features, Canva users can allow the AI bot to build context by reading emails, conversations, files, and meeting data.
The scheduling feature will create drafts that users can review before posting. Canva's AI code generator has also been updated to import HTML, and users can now use text prompts to describe the spreadsheets they wish to generate. Canva's co-founder and COO, Cliff Obrecht, stated that a significant portion of the company's revenue comes from individual and small teams, with the enterprise business showing 100% year-on-year growth.
Canva was most recently valued at $42 billion, and Obrecht indicated that the company is likely to go public next year. He noted that while many companies are merging workflows, businesses prefer to execute final editing and publishing steps on Canva. Canva is also adding integrations with popular platforms such as Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, and Zoom.
The company collaborates with Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI, allowing users to integrate their workflows across different applications.
