Joshua Baez went 4-for-5 with four home runs and seven RBI to lead the Memphis Redbirds to a 12-5 win over the Nashville Sounds at AutoZone Park. Baez hit a three-run home run in the first inning, a two-run home run in the third, and solo home runs in the fifth and eighth innings.
He has 23 home runs, 58 RBI, and leads the International League in home runs. 924 OPS, 67 home runs, and 140 stolen bases. The Cardinals selected Baez in the second round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
Baez became just the third minor leaguer this decade to hit four home runs in one game, according to MLB Pipeline.
