The St. Louis Cardinals recalled right-handed pitcher Hunter Dobbins from Triple-A Memphis hours before Sunday night's game against the Chicago Cubs. Dobbins then pitched 3⅔ innings and earned his first professional save in the Cardinals' 5-1 victory.

Dobbins allowed one run on four hits and recorded four strikeouts. He had not appeared in a major-league game since April 30, when he gave up three runs in 4⅓ innings during a start at Pittsburgh. Dobbins opened the 2026 season on the injured list while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered while pitching for Boston on July 11, 2025.
