Celebrities including television presenter Graham Norton, actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and singer Sabrina Carpenter have been photographed in New York ahead of a rumored private event at Madison Square Garden. The event is expected to take place on Friday, with a rehearsal dinner reportedly scheduled for Thursday.

Graham Norton was photographed with his husband at JFK Airport. Swift had previously told Norton on his BBC show that she planned to invite him to the event. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was also seen in the city, where she and Swift have socialized in the past.

Props including a grand piano, carpets, and a box of mirror balls have been moved into the arena. "No parking" signs have been placed around the venue, and a large white canopy tent has been set up outside. A forklift operator wearing a Swift t-shirt was observed working at the site.

The arena hosted a darts competition and a Bleachers concert earlier this week, and the New York Knicks held championship parties there last month.

City officials confirmed to the BBC that a street closure permit was filed in early June for roads around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to July 4. The mayor stated at a Wednesday press conference that the city is fully prepared. An unnamed law enforcement official briefed on security plans confirmed details of the event to the Associated Press.

Neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the details of any wedding. The couple announced on Thursday that they donated $26 million to U.S. charities including food banks, children's hospitals, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
