Fox NewsLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert returned to practice after spending time in Europe to support his girlfriend, singer Madison Beer, during the early dates of her tour. The absence covered Phase 2 of the team's voluntary offseason program.
Head coach stated he was happy Herbert traveled to support Beer. The coach noted that Beer attends the quarterback's football games and described the decision as an example of balance.
“I was happy he went to support Madison on her music tour. Madison supports him at the football games. He told me he wasn’t gonna be here for those two weeks and my first reaction was, ‘do you need a ride to the airport?’”
The coach added that Herbert is typically present for every voluntary and non-voluntary workout.

Officials described the quarterback as a consistent presence who can be counted on regardless of the team's results. The coach said the time away reflected good balance for the franchise quarterback.
