Chase Sapphire Reserve Offers 150,000 Bonus Points for New Cardholders

Chase announced a limited-time welcome offer for its Sapphire Reserve credit card. New cardholders can earn 150,000 bonus points by spending $6,000 within the first three months of account opening. The offer was reported by Yahoo Finance on April 30, 2026.

The card carries an annual fee of $795 and a variable APR of 19.49% to 27.99%. Rewards include 8x points on purchases through Chase Travel after the first $300 in annual travel spending, 4x points on flights and hotels booked directly, 3x points on dining worldwide, and 1x points on other purchases.

Benefits include up to $300 in annual statement credits for travel purchases, up to $150 in statement credits every six months for dining at participating restaurants, and up to $120 statement credit every four years for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS application fees.

Additional perks cover trip cancellation and interruption insurance, auto rental coverage, lost luggage insurance, and no foreign transaction fees. Cardholders also receive complimentary airport lounge access, up to $250 in credits for select Chase Travel hotel stays, up to $500 for eligible prepaid bookings with The Edit hotels, up to $25 per month in DoorDash promotions, and up to $10 per month toward Lyft rides.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be redeemed through Chase Travel at a value of one cent per point, making the 150,000-point bonus worth $1,500 in travel. Points may achieve higher value through Points Boost offers, providing up to 2x value on select flight and hotel redemptions.

Alternatively, points transfer 1:1 to partners including airline programs such as JetBlue TrueBlue, Air France KLM Flying Blue, Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, United MileagePlus, and Air Canada Aeroplan, as well as hotel programs like IHG One Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, and World of Hyatt.

Spending $6,000 to meet the bonus requirement earns at least 6,000 additional points at the base rate, totaling at least 156,000 points. Higher earnings apply if spending occurs in bonus categories. Yahoo Finance reported that the card suits frequent travelers who can offset the annual fee through rewards and credits.

Chase recently increased the Sapphire Reserve annual fee to $795 and introduced changes including a new Sapphire Reserve Business card. A separate welcome offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred card provides 75,000 points. Yahoo Finance also noted updates for 2026 offering increased savings on hotel stays through new credits.
