Chiefs Re-Sign Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed to One-Year Deal Worth Up to $5M After Two Injury-Marred Seasons in Tennessee

The Kansas City Chiefs signed cornerback L'Jarius Sneed to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million on Monday. The contract signing was announced on June 8, 2026.

He helped the Chiefs win two of their four Super Bowls during that span. The Chiefs traded Sneed to the Tennessee Titans before the 2024 season. 4 million deal with the Titans.

He spent the last two seasons with Tennessee. Quad and knee issues limited Sneed to 12 games in two seasons with the Titans. Sneed had four pass breakups in two seasons with the Titans, according to Sports Info Solutions.

6 yards per target in the 2025 season and had zero interceptions that year. The Tennessee Titans fired second-year head coach Brian Callahan after Week 6 last season.

The Titans have not made the playoffs since 2021. Sneed is 29 years old. The Chiefs selected LSU Tigers CB Mansoor Delane with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Trent McDuffie is now with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014 last season.
