An X user posted a photo on July 6, 2026, of a Burger King menu listing a Bacon King sandwich meal with fries and a drink for $18.19, with the sandwich alone priced at $12.99. The post questioned the value of the fast-food option compared with restaurant meals. Chili's replied directly to the post, stating that the image illustrated its point about fast-food pricing.
The chain promoted its Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich 3 for Me platform, which includes fries, bottomless chips and salsa, and an unlimited drink for $10.99. nypost.com reported that the Chili's response was viewed more than 5 million times. The Bacon King sandwich consists of two quarter-pound beef patties, bacon, American cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun.
Most Burger King locations are operated by franchisees, and the chain states that prices vary by location.
