Chloe Fineman to Leave Saturday Night Live After Seven Seasons

Comedian Chloe Fineman announced on Instagram that she is leaving "Saturday Night Live" after seven seasons, ahead of the show's 52nd season. Fineman wrote that the decision was difficult but felt like the right time. She added that the people who work on the show are her family and that the studio remains her home.

Her exit follows several other departures from the cast in 2025, including performers who had been with the show for varying lengths of time. In September 2025, Fineman told Extra TV that she was still processing the earlier exits and noted the show's high turnover rate.

In her Instagram post, Fineman recalled falling in love with the show immediately and described both the emotional highs and lows of working there. She joked about sketches that were cut during production, saying performers sometimes sob when a sketch is removed only to realize years later that the material was not as strong as it seemed.

Fineman ended the post by expressing hope that a particular sketch idea would eventually be produced.
