Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Wins Best Game and Debut Game at 22nd BAFTA Awards

Deadline reported that Clair Obscur:

Expedition 33 won the Best Game prize at the 22nd BAFTA Games Awards, held on Friday at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in the South Bank of London.

The game also secured the Debut Game award. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a French action adventure game developed by Sandfall and published by Kepler Interactive, received 12 nominations. Jennifer English won the Performer in a Leading Role award for playing Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Charlie Cox, who stars in Daredevil: Born Again and was nominated for his role as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, presented the Multiplayer category award.

Additional Category Winners

Dispatch received nine nominations and won the Animation award and the Audio Achievement award at the 22nd BAFTA Games Awards.

Jeffrey Wright won the Performer in a Supporting Role award for playing Chase in Dispatch. Ghost of Yōtei received eight nominations and won the Technical Achievement award and the Music award. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach received seven nominations and won the Artistic Achievement award.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle received six nominations. No Man’s Sky won the Evolving Game award, Lego Party! won the Family Game award, South of Midnight won the New Intellectual Property award, and Atomfall won the British Game award.

Despelote won the Game Beyond Entertainment award, Blue Prince won the Game Design award, Arc Raiders won the Multiplayer award, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II won the Narrative award.

Presenters and Performances

Abubakar Salim, who stars in House of the Dragon, presented the Animation award.

David Arnold, a prolific James Bond film composer, presented the Music award. Lana Del Rey sang the title song for the upcoming IO Interactive’s 007: First Light video game, which was exclusively debuted at the event. Angela Sant Albano and Nick Apostolides, leads of Resident Evil Requiem, presented the Performer in a Supporting Role award.

Lennie James, from The Walking Dead, presented the Performer in a Leading Role award. Talia Mar performed 'Stay the Night' live at the 22nd BAFTA Games Awards.
