The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride took place in Santa Monica, California. Participants rode classic and vintage motorcycles through the city as part of the annual fundraiser. The event has raised over $60 million for men's health since it began in 2012. It was founded in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa to increase awareness of prostate cancer research.
Abraham rode for his 12th year.
He said he participates for men's health, suicide prevention and prostate cancer awareness. Kris Noble rode for the first time. Noble, a one-year cancer survivor as of last month, said he joined to support men's cancer research and suicide prevention.
John Lu and Joy Osaka-Lu said this was only their second time participating. They said they enjoy the riders, camaraderie, friendliness, organization and charitable purpose. David Buchan said he is back on a bike after 31 years and called the event a great cause for men's mental health.
