Commanders Cornerback Enters Third Season Without Position Preference

Commanders cornerback Mike Sainristil enters the third year of his career in 2026. Sainristil said he does not have a preference to play as an outside or inside cornerback and considers himself a playmaker wherever he lines up. Washington has been connected as a potential suitor for a wide receiver since December, but a deal has not emerged.

The team's quarterback said he does not have a sense of what will happen with the receiver and described the situation as outside his control.
