Conor McGregor knocked out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194, ending the Brazilian fighter's decade-long win streak. McGregor had predicted the outcome one year earlier, telling his coach the exact sequence that would finish the fight. John Kavanagh, McGregor's longtime coach, posted a photograph of his own reaction on Instagram.

He wrote that he reacted half a second before anyone else in the picture because he had seen the finish mapped out in advance. “I reacted half a second before anyone in the picture, not because my reactions are quicker than anyone else, probably the contrary,” Kavanagh captioned the post. ” Kavanagh added that McGregor had demonstrated the precise sequence during training.

“The only reason I anticipated this ending was because Conor showed me this is how it would finish EXACTLY like this ONE full year before the fight,” he wrote. ’” McGregor has been sidelined since breaking his leg at UFC 264 in July 2021. The 37-year-old is scheduled to fight Max Holloway on July 11 at UFC 329 in Las Vegas.

McGregor defeated Holloway by decision in 2013. Benoit Saint-Denis is set to co-main event the card.
