Conor McGregor Signs New UFC Contract With Two Fights Left After Saturday's Bout

Conor McGregor signed a new contract with the UFC that includes an April 2027 fight date, yardbarker.com reported. The agreement was reached before his first bout in five years, a rematch against Max Holloway that headlines UFC 329 on Saturday in Las Vegas as part of International Fight Week. McGregor’s previous contract ended when the UFC agreed to a $7.7 billion broadcast deal with Paramount.

The new contract keeps him under the promotion for two remaining fights after UFC 329. McGregor’s manager Audie Attar said the April 2027 date was added to prevent delays. “For us, it was really just trying to make sure that we don’t get into a situation where gamesmanship is played,” Attar said on The Ariel Helwani Show.

Attar added that McGregor wants to compete without being held back, though the timeline could not be shortened further. McGregor has expressed frustration with the gap between fights and has downplayed interest in bouts outside the UFC.
