Content creator reports $1 million revenue from private equity parody videos
Johnny Hilbrant says his PE Guy character generated more than $1 million in the past year through brand deals, Cameo videos, and event appearances. The Boston-area creator began posting the videos as a hobby in March 2025 and later added management by UTA while retaining full control of his own bookings.

Johnny Hilbrant says his online character PE Guy produced more than $1 million in revenue during the past year. The videos parody private equity professionals and began as a hobby in March 2025. Hilbrant, who lives in the Boston suburbs, first posted two videos per week. Additional companies contacted him once the initial partnership was public.
Revenue sources Brand deals remain the largest income stream.
Hilbrant has worked with fintech company Ramp on a marketing video featuring actor Brian Baumgartner and with consumer brands Boll & Branch and Daily Harvest. In-person appearances at finance-industry events now generate revenue comparable to brand deals.
At events Hilbrant shows a two-minute video, answers questions for 45 minutes, and mingles afterward. Companies require NDAs so that private equity attendees do not learn organizers booked the parody. Merchandise sales and TikTok creator payments each contribute smaller shares.
Management and operations Hilbrant declined offers from managers seeking up to 40 percent of revenue. He signed with United Talent Agency but keeps 100 percent control of his own schedule and finances. Cameo has handled nearly 1,200 personalized videos since he joined the platform.
Hilbrant stated that daily inbound emails rose from one to roughly 20 as opportunities increased. Business Insider reviewed documentation supporting the reported TikTok, Cameo, and brand-deal income figures.
