Coventry City Wins 3-1 Against Wrexham to Secure Championship Title; Arsenal Overcomes Lyon 2-1 in Women's Champions League Semi-Final

Coventry City defeated Wrexham 3-1 in their final home match, securing the Championship title and a return to the top flight after 25 years. The team opened the scoring before a substitute struck a decisive free-kick with ten minutes remaining. A third goal was added deep into added time to complete the victory.

An equalizer was scored for Wrexham six minutes after the opener. The defeat leaves Wrexham with 70 points, level with Hull City but holding a goal difference one better. Derby County trails by one point in the play-off race.

These fixtures will determine the final play-off spot. In a separate match, Arsenal won 2-1 against OL Lyon in the first leg of the Women's Champions League semi-final at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, attended by 26,758 fans.

Arsenal came from behind to secure the victory, overturning their record of never beating Lyon in London. Arsenal's goals came from capitalizing on a defensive mix-up and a fumbled free-kick, which was bundled into Lyon's own net. Lyon's attack did not force Arsenal goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar into a single save.

Arsenal captain Leah Williamson said: 'The first half was quite even - we gave away a cheap goal.

There was a phase in the first half where Arsenal wanted more aggression in their press.
