ForbesPearl Abyss released a new patch for Crimson Desert that adds musket and shotgun use for Kliff along with a camp pond for fishing and fish breeding. The update also includes 20 new small animal species, a Baby Wyvern pet, and multiple quality-of-life changes.
Kliff can now use muskets and shotguns like Damiane and Oongka.
The change addresses a request players have made since the game launched. A separate tool slot was added so players no longer have to scroll past tools when switching weapons. Players can now build a pond at Howling Hill Camp or Pailune Camp that supports fishing, fish release, and breeding, including Legendary Fish that were previously removed from inventories.
Twenty species of small animals were added, and players can obtain a Baby Wyvern pet that will become a flying mount in a future update. Damiane and Oongka received a Focused Aerial Roll move while airborne, and Damiane gained an improved strike effect for two-handed cannons.
The patch added an instant equipment refinement function and new missions for mass crafting paintings. Logging and quarry missions now reward timber and stones, and tree branches from logging were changed to rough tree branches that can be stacked. The Infinite Arrows Abyss gear was updated to work with bullets and cannonballs, and fish traps were improved to catch more fish.
Griddle-cooked and pan-fried dishes were separated into fish, meat, and vegetable variants, and certain 2D visual assets were replaced to match the game's art direction. Additional changes include better chair placement during house decoration, re-blockade at bandit camps, and improved puzzle experience at the Disconnected Truth Abyss.
