Cubs Defeat Cardinals 6-1, Set Up Decisive Game 3 on May 31

The Chicago Cubs defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 on May 30 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. Alec Burleson gave the Cardinals a lead with a run in the fourth inning. Ben Brown allowed only that one run over seven innings for the Cubs.

JJ Wetherholt recorded three of the Cardinals’ five hits. Pete Crow-Armstrong hit a solo home run in the eighth inning to extend the Cubs’ lead. The Cubs outscored the Cardinals 11-6 across the first two games of the series.

Game 3 is scheduled for May 31 at Busch Stadium. m. ET and the game will be broadcast nationally on NBC and Peacock. 1 FM, and WIJR AM 880 in Spanish.

The game is available for streaming on Fubo. Jordan Wicks, 26, will start for the Cubs. In his season debut earlier in May he allowed eight earned runs on eight hits and one walk. Matthew Liberatore, also 26, will start for the Cardinals.
