CVS disputed Planned Parenthood of Greater New York's claim of a 'strategic partnership' on abortion pill access, stating that it does not have a formal partnership with the organization beyond filling prescriptions. Fox News reported that a Planned Parenthood of Greater New York report viewed on April 23, 2026, referenced a 'strategic partnership with CVS,' while a version viewed on April 24, 2026, no longer included that language.
The report previously stated that through the strategic partnership with CVS, patients can pick up the abortion pill from their local pharmacies.
It also stated that patients can pick up medication abortion prescriptions at CVS pharmacies. A CVS spokesperson stated that the team managing CVS's Reproductive Health program is unaware of anything related to Planned Parenthood beyond standard abortifacient dispensing for individuals with prescriptions.
CVS added that it did not indicate any agreement or coordination with Planned Parenthood beyond dispensing legally prescribed medication.
