Country Singer's Final Nashville Concert at Nissan Stadium Sells Out

The final concert of a country singer's career at Nashville's Nissan Stadium sold out shortly after tickets went on sale. The event, scheduled for June 27, 2026, is titled a farewell performance. Resale sites currently offer seats ranging from $526 in upper sections to $2,308 in general admission areas near the stage.

The concert is expected to attract more than 55,000 attendees. It will include performances by several country artists. Proceeds from each ticket sold will go to a foundation supporting research into Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a condition affecting nerve function and mobility that the singer disclosed in 2021.

The singer announced the Nashville show during a performance in Milwaukee last May. At that time, the singer stated that the Milwaukee event was the last road show of the career, but a finale was planned for Nashville the following summer. The audience responded with applause to the announcement.

The singer's career began after moving to Tennessee in the mid-1980s from Georgia. The move involved driving to Nashville with a spouse in a U-Haul trailer to pursue opportunities in the music industry. An early job was in the mailroom at a Nashville television network while seeking entry into country music.

A connection through the spouse, who worked as a flight attendant, led to advice from an established artist in the industry. This helped secure a recording contract with a Nashville label in 1989 as its first artist. The debut album in 1990 included a top 3 hit single.

Major hits over the career include songs about Southern life, traditional country themes, and a post-9/11 tribute. The singer described the career as fulfilling the American dream and expressed gratitude for fan support. The decision to end in Nashville reflects where the career started four decades ago.
