Dak Prescott Says George Pickens Shows No Rust After Skipping Voluntary Workouts

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said Thursday he had “no doubt” that wide receiver George Pickens would be ready to play after skipping the team’s voluntary offseason work. Prescott’s assessment followed Pickens’ participation in the Cowboys’ minicamp the week of June 18, 2026. Pickens received a franchise tag earlier in the 2026 offseason.

The Cowboys also told him they would not negotiate a long-term contract during that period. Prescott said there was no rust from the missed time and that “everything felt good” on the field during minicamp. He added that he and Pickens would find more time to work together ahead of training camp.

“That guy makes it easy,” Prescott said. “You see us just in routes on air out there, but you just go turn on the tape, that guy is going to get separation. He understands his leverage, he understands his routes.

He understands where I’m looking for him at the catch point, the depth. So, yeah, it’s going to be a beneficial time. It’s going to be great. But we can go throw a lot of touchdowns right now. ” Pickens had a strong first season with the Cowboys, Nbc Sports reported.
