Paige Bueckers scored 34 points and the Dallas Wings defeated the Toronto Tempo 108-95 on July 10 at Bell Centre in Montreal. The attendance of 20,996 set a new WNBA regular-season record, surpassing the previous mark of 20,711 set in Washington on September 19, 2024. Jessica Shepard added 20 points and 17 rebounds for the Wings, who improved to 15-8.
Arike Ogunbowale also scored 20 points and Azzi Fudd had 13. Bueckers shot 13-of-22 from the field and recorded six assists and six rebounds. Marina Mabrey scored 34 points for Toronto, making six of nine three-pointers.
Laura Juskaite added 25 points. The Tempo fell to 9-13 and have lost four straight games. ESPN reported that the two largest crowds in WNBA history remain the 22,076 fans who attended Detroit games in the 2003 and 2007 WNBA Finals.
The Bell Centre previously hosted a Professional Women's Hockey League game between Montreal and Toronto that drew 21,105 on April 20, 2024. Toronto coach Sandy Brondello said the team has a responsibility as the only Canadian franchise. Dallas coach Jose Fernandez said the event showed the trajectory of the WNBA and the Toronto franchise's work with Canadian fans.
Toronto will play New York in Montreal on July 12 and two games in Vancouver.
