The 42-year-old earned a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus for the submission, his 20th UFC finish.
The extension comes as Miller sits on 48 UFC fights, the most all-time, and 28 UFC wins, another record. His 16 post-fight bonuses tie him for third with Nate Diaz. Forbes reported that White framed the deal as one that should take Miller past the 50-fight mark if he wants it.
White had been asked which performance at UFC 328 shifted his plans moving forward. He pointed to the co-main event in which Joshua Van defeated Tatsuro Taira to retain the UFC flyweight championship. White also singled out Miller's veteran showing as worthy of the new commitment.
Miller called out Conor McGregor immediately after the event. "I'll test that new ankle he's got there, that titanium," Miller said in reference to the Irishman's surgically repaired leg. McGregor has been out since breaking his tibia against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
His suspension for missed drug tests expired in March 2026. The numbers underscore Miller's longevity. He holds the UFC record for most wins with 28 and most fights with 48. The five-fight deal would push him beyond 50 appearances without requiring him to complete every bout.
