yardbarker.comCom reported. The 33-year-old Peruvian went 5-1 with one no-contest during his three-year run with the promotion. His final fight on the contract was a submission of Miles Johns at UFC Vegas 111 in November.
Marcos posted a statement on Instagram in Portuguese confirming the release. “Since my last fight in November, I did exactly what was asked of me,” he wrote. “I finished my opponent, and since December, I’ve stayed ready to compete again.
I spent months training, doing camp, and waiting for an opportunity. ” “I just kept waiting because I trusted that the moment would come,” Marcos continued. ” Marcos was signed after winning on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2022.
He debuted with a second-round knockout of Saimon Oliveira at UFC 283. He followed with a split-decision win over Davey Grant. A scheduled bout against Aori Qileng ended in a no-contest after a groin kick.
