Stage details The 133-kilometre stage from Aosta featured five climbs and ended with a 20-hairpin ascent. Teammates of the stage winner set the pace on the final climb before the rider attacked with less than five kilometres remaining. The previous race leader finished 15th on the stage and now sits second overall, 2 minutes and 26 seconds behind the new leader.
"It was really impressive how my teammates rode, and I'm so proud of them, so proud that I can pay them back — it's a super nice win," the stage winner said. Sunday's stage 15 covers 157 kilometres from Voghera to Milan.
