Dave Coulier said he lost 45 pounds as a result of cancer treatment over the past two years. The 66-year-old actor posted an Instagram Reel on Thursday in which he addressed changes in his appearance and voice that followers had noticed. “I haven’t posted in quite a while, and the last time I did some of you said that I look differently and I sound differently, and I do,” Coulier said in the video.

” Coulier stated that he has not been able to eat solid food in months, which led to the weight loss, and that the treatment has affected his ability to speak. He confirmed that observers were correct in noting differences in both his look and his voice.

A year and a half ago Coulier was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy. His hair is growing back, he said, and recent PET scans showed a good prognosis for both the lymphoma and carcinoma in his throat. >The actor revealed he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2024.

By the following March, he revealed he was cancer-free. com) Nine months after that diagnosis he learned he had HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer. In February he announced he was in remission from both cancers after a two-year battle. Despite the positive scans, Coulier said he feels like cancer is always in the rearview mirror behind him.

In April he discussed on another program how he traced his diagnosis in part to what he called a toxic lifestyle and began changing products such as toothpaste, shampoo and other household items one at a time.

The radiation and chemotherapy produced visible and audible side effects that prompted Coulier to speak publicly. He has been unable to consume solid food for months, resulting in the 45-pound reduction. Medical scans conducted after treatment indicate the cancers are in remission. Coulier said the prognosis for both the throat carcinoma and the lymphoma is favorable.
