Raskin Requests Records on Epstein Foreign Contacts in Letter to Trump Administration

Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to the Trump administration requesting records related to Jeffrey Epstein’s foreign contacts. The letter cites documents previously released by the Department of Justice and the House Oversight Committee.

Raskin stated in the letter that the documents show Epstein had contacts with officials from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, advised the Russian government, and worked as a consultant for a former Israeli prime minister. The letter requests any additional records concerning Epstein’s interactions with foreign officials and asks the Justice Department to provide a written response on whether it has ever investigated Epstein for acting as an unregistered foreign agent.

“Our examination of available evidence has already revealed damning indications of Mr. Epstein’s activities on behalf of foreign states,” Raskin wrote. “Despite having such extensive, well-documented personal and professional contacts with officials of foreign governments, Mr. Epstein was never registered as a foreign agent under FARA.”

The letter does not identify specific dates for the contacts described or name the foreign officials involved. It references approximately 2,000 pages of Epstein-related documents released earlier by the Justice Department and House Oversight Committee.
