Democratic Candidate Video Shows Support for Medical Procedures for Transgender Minors

A video obtained by Fox News Digital shows Democratic House candidate Tina Shah stating support for providing sex changes for minors. Shah argued that transgender children should receive such procedures. The Human Rights Campaign endorsed 11 Democratic newcomers and 18 Democratic incumbents in battleground districts for the 2026 midterms.

Among those endorsed were Rep. Josh Riley of New York, Derek Tran of California, and Greg Landsman of Ohio, each of whom won by less than five percentage points. The Human Rights Campaign has supported gender-affirming care for minors through puberty blockers and hormone therapy.

It has opposed state restrictions on such care, promoted elementary school lessons on gender identity, resisted limits on Critical Race Theory instruction, and advocated removing police from schools. Human Rights Campaign president Kelley Robinson stated that the group faces an all-out assault on its rights from a congressional majority aligned with President Trump.

The organization renewed its endorsement of Rep.

Tom Suozzi of New York for the 2026 midterms. Suozzi said in 2023 that he was grateful for the Human Rights Campaign's support in a prior race. The organization did not respond to questions about its endorsement process or whether it seeks candidate permission before issuing endorsements.
