Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner posted explicit comments on Reddit about portable toilets while deployed overseas. October 2025, Platner covered up a tattoo of a Nazi symbol that he said he got two decades ago without knowing its meaning. Platner's campaign did not respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. Platner became the presumptive Democratic nominee after Maine Gov.

Janet Mills ended her campaign in April. He has received endorsements from independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
